See the world from a Birds-Eye view. Fall in love with the wonders of flying today!
RSI Transportation began because of my passion for flying.
As a child I used to look at satellite images from overhead, dreaming about flying. I’ve always been fascinated by flight and wanted to be in the air. Its truly incredible.
When I had the opportunity to purchase an airplane, I figured helping others experience flight was the right thing to do.

FAQ’s
How many hours does it take to get a license?
The FAA requires a ‘minimum’ of 40 hours of flight instruction for licensure.
How long does it take to get these hours, can I do it in one week, like a 40 hour work week?
Our typical applicant, starting with two flights/week, then three flights/week after solo, takes about 5 – 6 months.
So, after 40 hours of flying, I can get my license?
No. The national average is 78 +/-. Our current average is 58 hours considering applicants that start with us from the beginning of their flight training (individual results will vary, depending on frequency of training, learning styles, etc.).
What does the 40 hours mean?
The 40 hours is a cumulative of ‘dual’ (with an instructor) & ‘solo’ (without an instructor) flight time.
What does cross country mean?
Training includes flying locally (within 50 nm), cross country (+ 50 nm) from base airport and night flight.
How much night flight is required?
3 hours which includes one cross country and 10 landings.
Do I have to fly at night by myself?
No. The three hours night flight requirement is dual, with an instructor..
When can I solo?
The first 10-20 hours will be dual instruction in preparation for solo requirements, endorsement/flight.
When can I fly cross country?
Cross country training follows the solo portion, with additional training, emergency procedures, etc.
What happens after cross country?
A combination of dual & solo follow to completion of course.
What is a typical lesson?
The typical lesson will include ground training, flight, then debriefing. The ground training will cover what we will be doing in the air, how to, expectations, etc. Flight, self explanatory, debrief, we discuss and evaluate the flight.
